Riding School Dates for 2022

Cost: R2300 pp

Arrive the day before the start date

28 March - 1 April 2022 (arrive 27th)
27 June - 1 July 2022 (arrive 26th)
11 - 15 July 2022 (arrive 10th)
5 - 9 December 2022 (arrive 4th)
12 - 16 December 2022 (arrive 11th)

Please confirm your booking, by paying in the full amount and filling in the included forms and sending/faxing/e-mailing them back. Include proof of payment.

If you have more than one child in different courses, please fill in separate forms, otherwise you can enter all children on the same form.

If you want to make a transfer, please phone.  I will try to accommodate you whenever possible.  If you have to cancel, please do it immediately – there is a long waiting list! In case of cancellation; if less than 3 weeks before course, you will lose 50% of amount paid, if more than 3 weeks, we will retain R50 for banking costs.

The children should preferably arrive on Sunday from 15:00 PM. On Friday a show will be held at 13:00, and everyone is welcome to come and see what the kids have learned during the week.

The fee is R 1800, including all meals and accommodation.  A tuck shop is available with snacks at affordable prices.

Here is a list of things necessary for the week:
Please mark all clothes – we’ve got a drawer full of unmarked clothes again!

  • Basically comfortable clothes and underwear. 
  • Toiletries.
  • Jodhpurs/Tracksuit pants/denims.  An elastic band under the foot is preferable.
  • A Riding hat that fits snugly.  A hard hat is mandatory for D3 class and higher.
  • Pantyhose prevent chafing.
  • Shoes, preferably with smooth soles and a heel, e.g. school shoes.
  • Lip-Ice and a strong sun block.
  • Anorak/windbreaker.
  • Gloves and warm clothes for the winter.
  • Swimming trunks/shorts for the Summer.
  • Sleeping bag and pillow.
  • Notes :- a new set will cost R50 or more; the first set is free.
  • New riders :- A file for notes, ruler and pencil.

Riders with their own horses should also bring the following:

  • Bridle – marked
  • Saddle
  • Halter with lead rein – marked
  • Body brush, currycomb and hoof pick, marked and in a bag/bucket.

Stabled horses must have their own balanced rations and hay provided.  Hay can be provided if arrangements have been made.  If the horse has to sleep in the stable the costs will be R10.00 per night.

Important request to all pupils bringing their own horses:  All horses must be vaccinated against Equine influenza and the Herpes virus before attendance to the riding school;  if not, you attend at your own risk.

NB: For Medical aid requirement: Please attach copies of Premier persons ID and of the medical aid card. The stricter control on medical aids makes this measure necessary.
